The synthesis of the nanopowders magnesium oxide and fluoride during operation a repetitive diffuse nanosecond discharge in argon at various pressures was performed. Nanosecond voltage pulses with an amplitude −70 kV, rise time 0.7 ns, duration ns were applied across point-to-plane gap 2 mm length. pulse repetition rate 60 Hz. high-voltage pointed electrode made magnesium. A cold plasma formed under these conditions. Nanoparticles produced as result explosion microprotrusions on surface duo to high current density. Lines atoms ions observed emission optical spectrum. Under actions gas dynamics processes caused by channel expansion interpulse period, nanoparticles deposited onto grounded plane side wall chamber. morphology, elemental, phase composition powders studied using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS).
